Who We Are
Who We Are
Pangea Sound Collective is a five-piece jazz funk fusion unit originating from the Greater Toronto Area. In May 2023, Geoff Bournes, Nigel Pitt, Andrew Stewart and Isaiah Gibbons came together for the Pangea Sound Collective's first live performance at BSMT 254. The band members were friends and family, but also virtuosos from different musical backgrounds. The following year, front man Geoff Bournes brought talented guitarist Mario Posella into the fold. Mario immediately added novel textures and sonics further elevating the band's sound and earning them their debut performance at the legendary Kensington Sound Salon Stage.
This refined band has emerged as a unique force turning the heads of music enthusiasts and industry professionals. They continue to hone their artistic identity delving into original music production. Their progressive sensibility is foundationally rhythmic, percussive and masterfully blends a multitude of genres. Pangea Sound Collective’s music is emotional, energetic and vibrant.
